Introduction
Fireside Fables is a narrative driven 3D platformer, made in partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity! Play through your plushies greatest adventures, explore whimsical worlds, and re-discover your inner child!
Our final project at InkForge Studios was by far our most ambitious. We wanted to take what we learnt from developing I'll be Brave, Tomorrow, and create an even larger game. I reprised the same roles that I did for I'll be Brave, Tomorrow, and was able to push my abilities both in-engine and as a studio leader to further heights.

Creative Director
Continuing as Creative Director, I decided upon all major aspects of the game, from story to design, and aspects for the studio as well.
The concept of the game started during the development of I'll be Brave, Tomorrow, and we were able to keep work on the game efficient even when transitioning from in-person work to remote.
Business Manager
After many successful events with I'll be Brave, Tomorrow, we were able to showcase Fireside Fables at even more, both in-person and online. Key events included London Games Festival, Cozy Quest and Impact Games!
We once again ran another Kickstarter campaign, this time raising over $3000!
Marketing
Marketing for Fireside Fables was able to be informed by previous work on I'll be Brave, Tomorrow. I continued creating short form content, but also focussed more on events and showcases to put the game in front of larger audiences. This helped to raise Wishlist numbers much higher than for I'll be Brave, Tomorrow.
Writing
Compared to previous titles at InkForge Studios, I took a much more hands on approach with the narrative design and writing for Fireside Fables.
With the focus of the game being on childhood adventure, I made sure to make all dialogue believably childish, and evoking childhood conversations between friends.
Design
For Fireside Fables, I not only handled the 2D platforming sections present within the game, but also took the lead on 3D platforming, both mechanics and level design.
Each world in the game was completely distinct, as they reflected the child telling the story. This pushed my level design abilities, having to create different feeling worlds with strong level design throughout.
